Welcome to St Loys Primary Academy

St Loys, Weedon Lois, is a happy school founded over 150 years ago and sited in a most attractive location in the heart of the South Northamptonshire countryside. We now have provision at our school for children aged 2 to 11 years of age with St Loys Pre School now being part of the Academy.

Ofsted and the Church of England Inspectorate judge St. Loys to be ‘outstanding’. Our school provides a caring, stimulating environment which aims to develop each child’s potential. We encourage and expect high standards in both work and behaviour.

Our top priority is for children to be happy and engaged in an ever improving environment and curriculum that excites.

Please look at our Galleries on the Quick Links on the left to see some of the amazing activities our St Loys children get up to!

Our School Mission Statement

 Alison Allen, Head teacher.

“Our School is one where individuals will be helped to strive to reach their full potential, feel valued and where personal endeavour, responsibility and good behaviour to others will be encouraged in a Christian environment”.

St Loys is a Church of England Voluntary Aided School and is committed to educational excellence and to the spiritual, moral and cultural development of all its pupils.

The School recognises and affirms its Church of England foundation and greatly values its special, historic and continuing link with the parish church of St Mary and St Peter. Read more from Head Teacher Alison Allen here.

Sporting Events at Chenderit

Well done to all Junior children who took part in the Cross Country races at Chenderit on Thursday 20th September. 17 St Loys children from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 attended. The Year 3/4 children had to run 800m and the Year 5/6 children ran 1000m. Special congratulations to Dan who came 7th in the boys race and to Pip who finished 3rd place, Lydia 6th and Merle 8th in the girls race. Well done all of you!

An enthusiastic team of 6 St Loys children took part in the football tournament held at Chenderit last Thursday, 27th September. As one parent said "our children started nervously, grew in confidence, played fairly, defended brilliantly and became a team...and smiled throughout"! Well done to all those children that put themselves forward and got involved!

Tag Rugby this week! It's not too late to sign up!
