Extra-Curricular Activities

We aim to provide as wide a range of activities as is practical in a small school and are very fortunate to have a new purpose-built, for multi-use, hall (which was built to Sports England requirements and is the size of an International Badminton Court). We also have the use of the nearby large Millennium Field in the village.

St Loys run a Morning and an After School Club each weekday, please contact the office for details of sessions and charges.

Sporting Activities:

Children are introduced to Rugby, Football, Netball, Athletics, Tennis, Gym and Cricket and where possible these games are conducted by qualified coaches.  We regularly arrange matches against other schools and are involved in Rugby Tournaments. Years 3 to 6 pupils swim for a term at Brackley Swimming Pool. In Year 5 the children take up the Bikeability challenge with Cycling England.

Please have a look at our Sports page.

Music and Drama:

Children participate in performances for parents and friends at the School and in the Church. Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT) provides the opportunity for Junior pupils to undertake tuition on many instruments. At the moment St Loys offers tuition on: Stringed Instruments (currently free of charge), Woodwind and Brass tuition, instruments are loaned free of charge for the first year through NMPAT. For further information please email office@nmpat.co.uk

Children from Year 2 and above are also offered the opportunity to take private Guitar lessons.

Children also have shared lessons in the Recorder, Drums and Ukulele.

After-School Activities:

We are often able to offer after-school activities including I.T & Media, European Languages, Chess, Dance, Football, TAG Rugby and Netball; please check with the school for a list of clubs currently running.

After-School Chargeable Clubs run at St Loys:

Several companies hire our large hall at St Loys for chargeable after-school clubs, these include Judo, Multi-Skills Sports, Hotshots Basketball, Tae Kwon-do and Mad Science; please check with the school for a list of clubs currently running and what age restrictions, if any, apply.
